We have just sent our dearest backers the following email, it’s been too silent and I can’t stand it anymore that we are not talking to our backers, our dearest supports, our friends, you… So read and smile because it’s still rocking:
Hi there, fellow supporter of the first hour, backer!
Since Times Square to Art Square managed to get its first 10k in the pocket thanks to your support, it seemed all a bit blurry what was going to happen next. Apart from the fact we shouted-out in Times Square, we still didn’t send out any piece of e-art or even a free ticket for an upcoming preparty (depending on your pledge of course).
Here’s why:
It has also been a period of contemplation, reorganization, regrouping and rethinking. As we are very well aware that after reaching the set goal we truly have a responsibility towards our supporters and backers. We thought it not to be wise to take any hasty decisions and that we should get a strong grasp of the path we need to take to make it the success we want it to be.
Therefore we changed our strategy, we answered questions such as:
- How can we deliver a feasible return on investment for the advertisers and possible partners?;
- How are we going to manage the art-side of the story, who is selecting the art? Are we including museums, or not?;
- How is the NYC gov involved?;
- Are we going to allow companies to become partners for the event, and how will they influence the exposure?;
- How do we make TS2AS a sustainable foundation, which has enough funds to accommodate office space, a full-time team, cover visa costs, and so on?;
- When is it precisely going to happen? What is the event going to look like?
We answered most of these questions. As we spreak, we are stripping down our website to include all of these basic answers. We’re trying to keep it minimal but clear. Here’s a sneak peek of our new logo:
(A new website is following pretty soon. You will be the first to know about it)
I hope you understand the situation we’re in. We need you to know that we are very humbled to have you backing this project. You are the blood that pumps through the project’s vains.
Justus, Martin and Nick
PS: I’m (Justus) moving to NYC by the end of August to work closer with Nick Ditmore, our new key-player.
